Studio Policy for Private Piano

Tuition

Tuition includes:

36 private lessons in a  year

4 group classes

3 performances classes

3 recitals

2 Make-up Lesson Weeks

 

Tuition is due on the first lesson of the month. A $10 late fee will be assigned on the 10th.  

An annual Materials Fee of $15 per student is due every September. The fee helps cover the cost of Technic, Rhythm and Chord Books and Flashcards.

 

Acceptable forms of payment include check or Venmo.

There is a $20 fee for all returned checks.

-1 Hour Lesson-

$165 a Month

Family Discount 

$13 a month discount

per additional sibling

Materials Fee

$15 material fee is due with September tuition.

This annual fee helps cover printing and binding costs for rhythm books, technic books, chord books, composing journals, flashcards and more.

Cancellations

Each student has a reserved lesson time, and is responsible for that time. 

There are no price adjustments or refunds for missed lessons.  Tuition is charged whether or not you attend lessons. 

If you are sick or on vacation you may take advantage of the make-up lesson weeks.

If I need to cancel a lesson I will provide a make-up lesson or credit you for the next month. 

Make-Up Lessons

 

 

Two weeks a year are set aside for make-up lessons. One in the fall and one in the spring.  If you have missed or will be missing a lesson, you can attend one or both lessons.

Recitals, Group Classes and Performance Classes

There will be three recitals annually.  Best dress is appropriate unless otherwise specified.

There are 4 group lessons in a year.  

Group lesson will focus on theory, music history, ensemble pieces and performance. 

Six Performance Classes are scheduled in a year.  Students are expected to attend 3, but can attend more if desired.

and other Performance and Evaluation Opportunities

Parent Responsibilities

 

Help to schedule and create a quiet atmosphere for daily practice. 

 

Refer to their notebooks to know if they are practicing what was assigned. 

 

Always give praise and encouragement.
